The Indian automobile industry was very active in September 2025 as usual. This time many companies introduced their new SUVs, including brands like Maruti Suzuki, Vinfast, Volvo and Citroen. The special thing is that this time petrol, hybrid and electric – three types of SUVs were launched in the market. From the price of these trains to their features, everything has caught the attention of customers. Let’s look at the features of these cars.

Maruti Suzuki Victoris

  • Maruti Suzuki has launched Victoris through its Arena Network. This SUV is built on the platform of Grand Vitara of the company and has been positioned between Brezza and Vitara. Its initial price has been kept at 10.49 lakhs. Victoris consists of mild hybrid, strong hybrid and CNG variants with a 1.5-liter petrol engine. The automatic model also has an AWD option, which is a large plus point for off-roading lovers.

Vinfast vf6

  • Vietnam’s auto company Vinfast launched its first electric SUV VF6 in India on 6 September 2025. This is a 4.23 meter long compact SUV with the initial price of 16.49 lakhs. The VF6 has a 59.6 kwh battery pack, which gives 204 HP power and 310 Nm torque. Its ARAI certified range is 410 km, while it can run 480 km on WLTP standard. Fast charging it charges 80% in just 25 minutes. It provides features like 12.9-inch touchscreen, ventilated seats, heads-up displays and 7 airbags.

Vinfast vf7

  • After VF6, Vinfast also launched VF7. This is a mid-size SUV with a length of 4.5 meters. Its initial price is 20.89 lakhs. It has a 70.8 kwh battery. The VF7 has two options -204 HP single motor and 350 HP dual motor AWD. This SUV on WLTP standard gives a range of up to 510 km. Its design is modern and bold, including LED taillights and panoramic roof.

Volvo ex30

  • Volvo launched its most affordable EV SUV EX30 in India in mid -September 2025. Its price starts at 39.99 lakhs and competes with BMW IX1 and Hyundai IONIQ 5. EX30 has a 69 kwh battery pack and 272 HP electric motor. Its range on WLTP standard is 480 km. In just 25 minutes it can be charged with 150 kw DC charger. Volvo’s signature safety features such as 7 airbags, ESC and Level-2 Adas are present in it. Its minimalistic interior and recycled materials make it eco-friendly.

Citroen Basalt X

  • Citroen Basalt X was introduced on 5 September and its initial price is 11.63 lakhs. It has a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine that gives 110 HP power and the mileage is about 18 kmpl. The design of Basalt X is of coupe-style, which the youth will like it a lot. Its interior has bronze accents, new dashboard and black-tan upholstery. Also, it includes features like Adas Level-1, 360-degree camera and chemical entry.
