However, his decision turned into a scary dream. Dharaminder Singh of Punjab wanted to shift to Canada with his entire family. For this, he spoke to an agent, who had asked to send Canada via Iran. In this way, the journey to Iran was to be a new beginning for Dharaminder Singh and his family, but as soon as he reached Tehran via Dubai from Kolkata, the story took a terrible turn. The agent had said that a person would come to get a passport and he would travel further in a few hours, but a Pakistani Ganng kidnapped him, after which he was taken to a deserted place.
Dharaminder Singh’s wife Sandeep Kaur said that the Pakistani gang first tied her husband and son and asked for a ransom of Rs 1.5 crore. The family was beaten up badly and the needles were pierced. He said that the kidnappers had talked about leaving him and his son, but she did not leave her husband. Dharaminder’s brother Paramjeet collected money from relatives in Punjab. The gang was celebrated by giving about 80 lakh rupees and jewelry. The family said that in this whole process, he was very tortured mentally and physically.
Indian Embassy and MP help
Anandpur Sahib MP Malvinder Singh Kong and Foreign Minister S.K. With the intervention of Jaishankar, the Indian embassy in Iran took immediate action. On 5 October, Dharaminder Singh, Sandeep Kaur and his 12 -year -old son returned to India safely. On returning to the village, everyone gave emotional welcome.
Family demanded justice
Dharaminder Singh said that he returned alive, this is the biggest thing, but till those agents and criminals are punished, this nightmare will not end. The family is now preparing to file a complaint against the agent of Punjab. MP Malvinder Kang said that every year hundreds of families are being ruined by the pretense of such agents, so strict action is necessary.
