According to the news of news agency Reuters, the Global Health Agency has identified a specific batch of Shreesan Pharma’s Coldrif, Rednex Pharma’s Respifresh TR and Shape Pharma’s Relip syrup, in which adulteration has been found. WHO Says that these syrups can pose a health risk. Due to this, serious and even fatal diseases can occur.

Dangerous chemical found in cough syrup

During testing, a poisonous chemical called diethylene glycol was found in these cough medicines, which was used in large quantities. The important thing is that this chemical has neither any color nor any smell. Therefore, it is difficult to identify it without investigation. It is used to sweeten the syrup. The surprising thing is that the use of diethylene glycol is dangerous for human health.

Srisan Pharma’s license canceled

The license of Srisan Pharmaceutical Company of Tamil Nadu has been completely canceled. Now an order to close the company has also been issued. The state government had given information regarding this on Monday. During an inspection, officials of the state drug control department found that 48.6 percent of the cough syrup contained a substance called diethylene glycol (DEG). Company owner Mr. Ranganathan was arrested recently.
