It is almost 3 weeks since the Indian team became the Asia Cup champion. In the final, Team India defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets and won the title of Asia Cup champion for the ninth time. But even after so many days, the Indian team has not been able to get the trophy. In fact, after the final match, ACC and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi took the Asia Cup Trophy with them. Now know where the trophy is kept?
According to a report published in Cricbuzz, the Asia Cup trophy is currently kept in the office of Asian Cricket Council (ACC) in Dubai. But it is difficult to say anything about when Team India will be able to get the trophy.
When will Team India get the trophy?
On September 30, a meeting of the Asian Cricket Council was held in Dubai, in which it was decided that the boards of the five Test playing Asian countries would discuss and find a solution to the trophy dispute. These five countries are India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. This meeting will be held in the beginning of next month, at the same time ICC meeting is also to be held.
It is being told that if Mohsin Naqvi does not come to this meeting, the controversy will increase further. In July this year, he did not participate in the ICC annual conference. Some people in the Asian Cricket Council believe that in this meeting to be held soon, Naqvi can send someone as a representative in his place.
What action will BCCI take?
According to the same report, a BCCI official says that there is still some time left in the meeting and during this time the board will consider its next decision. Let us remind you that recently ACC Chairman Mohsin Naqvi had issued an order saying that no one will hand over the trophy to Team India or BCCI without his permission.
