Hong Kong has defeated Bahrain on the basis of Babar Hayat’s innings in the ongoing Asian Games Qualifier in Singapore. The qualifier tournament for the Asian Games 2026 is being played in Singapore. On June 1, in the third match of the Asian Games Qualifier, an exciting clash was seen between Hong Kong and Bahrain. In which Babar Hayat batted strongly. While chasing the target from Bahrain, Babar Hayat of Hong Kong scored unbeaten 93 runs.
Babar could not complete his third century in T20 International but returned not out after leading his team to victory. Hong Kong defeated Bahrain by 8 wickets in the ongoing Asian Games Qualifier in Singapore. While chasing the target of 174 runs set by Bahrain, Hong Kong’s first wicket fell for just 12 runs. But after that Babar Hayat came on the wicket and took everything under his control.
34-year-old Babar Hayat made important partnerships for the second and third wickets and led his team to a spectacular victory. Pakistan-born Babar Hayat batted brilliantly against Bahrain, his innings of 48 balls included 7 sixes and 6 fours. This was the 13th half-century of his T20 International career. Babar first added 76 runs in 39 balls for the second wicket with Nizakat Khan, while for the third wicket, a partnership of 87 runs in 47 balls took the team closer to victory. In these two partnerships he contributed 35 and 58 runs respectively.
