Indian team management is taking important decisions to fast-track Vaibhav Suryavanshi. BCCI is planning to keep a special eye on Vaibhav’s performance and his preparations. Vaibhav will go on tour to Ireland and England very soon. To ensure that Vaibhav can adapt properly to the environment there, BCCI is preparing to send Vaibhav’s parents along with him.
If Vaibhav Suryavanshi gets a chance to make his international debut on the tour of Ireland, England or in the Asian Games, he will become the youngest player to make his international debut for India. Currently, this record is in the name of Sachin Tendulkar, who played his first match for Team India on the Pakistan tour in 1989 at the age of 16 years and 205 days.
At the age of only 15, Vaibhav has been selected in Team India. He is a little childish in nature, hence the board feels that if his parents are with him, then Vaibhav will not only be helped in adjusting to the external circumstances but will also be able to prepare himself for the pressure of international cricket. For this, the parents will be sent on a tour to Ireland and England along with Vaibhav.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi made his debut for India A in the Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025 last year. Now Vaibhav is going to represent India A once again. Vaibhav is currently in Sri Lanka, where India A has to participate in the tri-series against Afghanistan A and Sri Lanka A.
IPL 2026 season was great for 15 year old Vaibhav. He won the Orange Cap for the first time in his career. Vaibhav had scored 776 runs while playing for Rajasthan Royals in the entire season and during this time he also made the record of hitting the most sixes (72) in a season.
