His father Raj Babbar has been a big actor of Hindi cinema, while his mother Nadira Babbar is a well-known theater artist. Started from ‘Ab Ke Baras’
Arya Babbar started his career in Bollywood in the year 2002 with the film ‘Ab Ke Baras’. Amrita Rao was seen with him in this film. This film was not successful at the box office. Even after his first film flopped, he continued to get work. He worked as a lead actor and supporting actor in many films, but his career did not progress at the pace that was expected.
After this, Arya Babbar was seen in films like ‘Guru’, ‘Ready’ and ‘Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola’. He worked with big stars, but still he could not get a strong identity in the industry. Gradually his journey in Bollywood started weakening.
Turned towards Punjabi films
Arya Babbar later turned towards the Punjabi film industry. Here he got considerable recognition. His film ‘Yaar Anmulle’ was liked a lot by the audience. His acting in Punjabi films was appreciated.
Apart from films, Arya also worked in the world of TV. He became a part of ‘Bigg Boss 8’, where his different style was seen. Although he could not go far in the show, he remained in the news due to many controversies. Especially his statements regarding actress Minissha Lamba were in the news. Later he also had to apologize for his statement. He played the character of Ravana in the TV show Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman, which was liked by the audience.
