CBSE Re-evaluation 2026: After the declaration of CBSE 2026 results, there is big news for the students who are confused about their marks. CBSE has now started an online portal for verification of marks and re-evaluation. Students who have received the scanned copy of their answer sheets can apply for re-checking and re-evaluation of their marks. This facility has been made available by the board for a limited time and the last date for application has been fixed as June 6.

Aadhaar verification is necessary for application

This time CBSE has included Aadhaar verification for security in the verification and re-evaluation process. According to the information released by the board, students will have to provide Aadhaar related information while applying. However, students who do not have Aadhar card can use the Aadhar number of their parents or a close relative. In such cases, the name, date of birth and gender filled during the application should be as per the Aadhaar details of the person whose Aadhaar number is being used. Apart from this, CBSE has also advised to carefully read the important guidelines issued by the board before applying.

The problems of the students increased after the results came.

After the declaration of CBSE results this year, a large number of students had raised questions regarding the marks obtained. Many students said that they got less marks than expected, while some students also raised objections about the evaluation process. In such a situation, there was a wait for the re-evaluation and verification process to start, which has now been started by the board.

Evaluation remained in discussion due to OMS system

This time the evaluation process was especially in the news because the board used the on-screen marking system on a large scale. In this digital system, examiners check the scanned answer sheets. After the release of the results, many students had lodged complaints related to the evaluation on social media. Some students had also raised questions regarding technical problems in the scanned copy and evaluation of answers. This is the reason why this time there was a lot of interest among students regarding post result services. Apart from this, the board has also made a big change in this year’s fees. Whereas earlier students had to pay up to Rs 700 to get scanned copies of answer sheets, now they will have to pay only Rs 100 per subject. Similarly, the fee for marks verification has also been reduced to Rs 100 per subject. Students have also been given relief for re-evaluation. Now for revaluation of any question, only Rs 25 per question will have to be paid, whereas earlier this amount was Rs 100 per question.

Check these things before applying

According to the board, before applying for re-evaluation, students should check their scanned copy carefully. They should ensure that all the answers have been evaluated, that no pages have been left out of evaluation, that no mistakes have been made in the addition of marks and that no answers have been wrongly ignored.
