Goldman Sachs JSW Cement Partnership: A good rise was seen in the Indian stock market on Monday. Nifty 50 index rose by 1.03% to reach 23,963.45. During this period, there was special movement in the shares of cement sector. Meanwhile, JSW Cement shares fell 1.37% to Rs 136.10, whereas earlier it had seen a sharp rise of about 18% in two consecutive trading sessions. The share reached a high level of around Rs 136 during the day. Its 52-week highest level was Rs 162.15, while the lowest was Rs 106.65.
What happened in big deals?
According to exchange data, AP Asia Opportunistic Holdings Private Limited sold about 4.28 crore shares of the company at a price of Rs 124 per share through a big deal on NSE. This is equal to approximately 3.14% stake of the company.

Big investors bought shares
Many big institutional investors have also bought shares of some companies. Of these, Goldman Sachs Company bought about 22.25 lakh shares. SBI Mutual Fund bought 67 lakh shares. ICICI Prudential Fund bought about 1.19 crore shares. WhiteOak Capital, Edelweiss Mutual Fund and other funds also bought stake. This shows that big investors remain interested in the company.

As per the shareholding pattern as of March 2026, promoters held 72.04 percent stake in JSW Cement Limited. Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) held 2.93 per cent stake during Q4FY26, compared to 3.03 per cent in the previous quarter. Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) increased stake to 8.74 per cent from 8.09 per cent in the previous quarter, while public shareholding remained stable at 14.67 per cent.
