The technical glitches encountered during the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG 2026) conducted across the country have increased the concern of students and parents. There were reports of delays and disruptions at several examination centers in the second shift of the examination held on May 30, following which the National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to announce new exam dates for the affected candidates. The agency has clarified that no student will be allowed to suffer due to this technical problem. The new exam date will be announced soon.

According to reports, during the CUET UG 2026 examination on May 30, due to technical problems at many centres, the examination could not start on time. Especially the candidates of the second shift had to wait for a long time. This situation created confusion and tension among the students. TCS iON admitted the mistake, apologized
TCS iON, the technical service provider company involved in conducting the examination, has accepted this error and publicly apologized. The company said that there was a technical problem in a central part of their system, due to which there was a delay in starting the examination at some centres. TCS iON also said that their technical teams immediately worked to fix the problem and tried to normalize the exam conduct. Also, assurance has been given of better arrangements to avoid such situations in future.
NTA’s clarification and relief measures
The National Testing Agency (NTA) said in its official statement that this problem had arisen at the service provider level, which was soon rectified. The agency assured that the affected students will be given additional time (compensatory time) so that they do not suffer any kind of loss. Apart from this, new exam dates will be announced soon for the candidates whose exams have been affected.
