The court has sentenced the culprit who raped and brutally murdered an innocent girl in Nasrapur in Pune district, to death. With this decision of the court, the victim and her family have got justice. With this decision, people’s faith in the justice system has been further strengthened. Shiv Sena chief and Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde has expressed his gratitude to the court while welcoming the decision to award death sentence to accused Bhimrao Kamble.
Giving harshest punishment to the culprit is commendable – Eknath Shinde
Eknath Shinde said, “In this case, the police administration, court and government lawyers have worked with collective efforts.” It is commendable to effectively take the entire case forward in the fast track court and give the harshest punishment to the culprit in a very short time. I had already said that a person who commits such crimes has no right to live, he should be hanged.

Shinde expressed gratitude to CM Devendra Fadnavis
Deputy Chief Minister Shinde also expressed special gratitude to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for continuously monitoring this matter and providing necessary support to the entire team. He also congratulated the Home Department, Police Administration, Government lawyers and all the officials associated with this case.

Eknath Shinde further said, “This is an example-setting decision.” In such cases, only quick and strict action can create fear of law in the minds of criminals in the society.” He expressed confidence that after this decision, such incidents will be effectively curbed in future and the society’s confidence in the safety of women and girls will be further strengthened.
Deputy CM Sunetra Pawar also welcomed the court’s decision.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Deputy CM Sunetra Ajit Pawar has also expressed his sentiments and welcomed the historic decision of the court. He said, “The completion of the hearing and the verdict within just two months of the incident is a historic case in itself. There is no place in society for people with such cruel mentality and distorted thinking.
Criminals will be afraid of committing such crimes in future – Sunetra Pawar
He further said, “This decision has increased the fear of law and strengthened people’s trust and criminals will be afraid of committing such heinous crimes in future. The investigating agencies and the government will always stand with innocent girls and women to provide them justice.” Sunetra Pawar also expressed her gratitude to the lawyers who worked very effectively in this case.
‘Government will take strict steps for the safety of women and girls’
He assured that in future the government will take the strictest steps for the safety of women, girls and children. Along with this he said that we all stand with the victim’s family in their grief. To ensure that such incidents do not happen again, society and the government will have to take concrete steps together.
Sunetra Pawar also expressed gratitude to Pune Rural Police. The police acted promptly in this case and formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and played an important role in providing justice to the victim.
