Dengue malaria prevention: As soon as the rainy season starts, the risk of diseases like dengue and malaria also increases. In this season, the number of mosquitoes increases rapidly, due to which children are at greater risk of falling ill. The ability of small children to fight diseases is less than that of adults. Therefore, parents should take precautions in advance. Even a little carelessness can take a toll on children’s health. In such a situation, it is important that everything from the cleanliness of the house to the food and drink of the children is taken care of.

Do not allow water to accumulate around the house

Dengue and malaria are spread through mosquito bites. Therefore, take special care of cleanliness in and around the house. Do not allow water to accumulate in coolers, pots, buckets, tires or any such place, because mosquitoes multiply easily in such places. Change the water in the cooler once a week and always keep the water tanks covered.

It is important to protect children from mosquitoes

Make children wear full-sleeved clothes in the morning and evening. If the child goes out to play, mosquito repellent cream or patch can be used. Use mosquito net while sleeping at night. Also try to avoid mosquitoes inside the house.

Take special care of food and drink

Always feed clean and fresh food to children during the rainy season. Avoid eating open or stale food from outside. Make them drink enough water and include fruits, green vegetables, pulses and other nutritious things in their diet, so that their body remains strong. If the child drinks less water, keep giving him water or other healthy substances at regular intervals. Good diet helps in increasing the strength of children to fight diseases.

Do not ignore these symptoms at all

If the child has high fever, headache, body ache, vomiting, weakness, pain behind the eyes or red rashes on the skin, then do not take it lightly. Consult a doctor without delay and do not give any medicine without his advice. Getting timely treatment can reduce the risk of the disease becoming serious. If fever persists for two-three days, a checkup must be done.
