The statement of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah has come to light on the eve of the first anniversary of the terrorist attack in Baisaran Valley of Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. He has said that this terrorist attack in the beautiful valley of Pahalgam was a big blow to Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr Farooq Abdullah had attended a program organized in Anantnag to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in this incident last year. Speaking to reporters, Farooq Abdullah said that he wanted to pay tribute to all those who were killed, especially those who raised their voice against terrorism.

Let us tell you that on April 22 last year, terrorists had attacked in Baisaran Valley of Pahalgam, in which 26 innocent tourists lost their lives. After this, anger of people was seen across the country. After this the Indian Army carried out Operation Sindoor. On Wednesday (April 22), it is going to be one year since this terrorist attack.
What did you say on America-Iran talks?
While commenting on the proposed second round of talks between America and Iran, Farooq Abdullah expressed hope that continued talks will eventually lead to peace. He said that there is no option other than a peaceful solution. The former CM also said, “There may be many rounds of talks, but ultimately peace will prevail. The world can be saved only through peace.”
Statement also given on women’s reservation
Apart from this, on the Women’s Reservation Bill, the National Conference President said that his party is not against reservation. He reminded that when this bill was introduced in 2023, it was passed with a majority.
