G7 Summit: ‘Dear friend Narendra…’, Macron spoke in Hindi, sang in praise of PM Modi, told when he will come to India

French President Emmanuel Macron gave a surprise farewell message in Hindi to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday (June 18). “Dear friend Narendra, I am very happy. It was a great pleasure to welcome you in Nice, Evian and Paris. Long live the friendship between France and India,” Macron said in Hindi. Macron gave this farewell message to PM Modi at the end of his Paris visit, which was also the last stop of his France tour.

After this the French President said, “I hope I said it right. My dear Narendra Modi, I want to thank you very much for your friendship. France loves you very much. I am very happy that you are with so many friends in Paris before returning to Delhi.” Macron also said that he is planning to visit India in February next year.

The purpose of PM Modi’s visit to France was to further strengthen the ‘Special Global Strategic Partnership’ between India and France, which was taken to greater heights earlier this year. On the last day of their visit, PM Modi and Macron participated in Europe’s largest technology and start-up event ‘VivaTech 2026’ in Paris, in which India is the AI ​​country partner. Both the leaders visited the exhibition pavilion and also interacted with innovators and entrepreneurs.

Addressed the Indian community in Paris
Before leaving from France, PM Modi also addressed the people of the Indian community in Paris. He said, “India’s exports have increased 35 times in the last 12 years. There has been a tremendous increase of 100 times in the number of mobile manufacturing units in the country, making India the second largest mobile manufacturing country in the world. Due to this rapid growth and development, India has now become the fastest growing major economy.”

Calling it a privilege to serve as Prime Minister for 12 consecutive years, PM Modi said, “It is the strength of India’s democracy that a tea seller has reached this position. The last 12 years have been a testimony to the amazing potential of 140 crore Indians.” He said that India’s GDP doubled during this period. Besides, airport, university and highway infrastructure also increased and 25 crore people came out of poverty.
