The European Union has expressed concern over the increasing tension between America and Iran. European Commission Vice President Kaja Kallas said that the increasing military tension in the Middle East is raising serious concerns for the world. Kallas said the growing tensions between the United States and America have made the already strained efforts to end the war more difficult.
In a post on the social media platform X, the Vice President of the European Commission also said that Iran’s attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait cannot be accepted at all. Under the MoU, Iran promised to keep the Strait of Hormuz open, but recent attacks on ships near the strait violate its promise and threaten to hinder the resumption of energy supplies, he said, reminding Tehran of its promise to maintain open sea lanes. Freedom of navigation must remain unhindered, he said.

EU will hold meeting with Gulf countries
After talks between US and Iran stalled, EU will hold meetings with Gulf countries.
