“I wish he was in school now…” Pat Cummins looked in awe of Vaibhav Suryavanshi, said something big about the 15 year old batsman.

Australian captain Pat Cummins has praised 15-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi for his explosive performance in IPL 2026. Cummins was among those bowlers who had to face Vaibhav’s aggressive batting style during the tournament. The young batsman of Rajasthan Royals had scored the fastest century of the season against Sunrisers Hyderabad and later also played an explosive inning of 97 runs in 29 balls. While talking to Fox Cricket, Cummins said that it is very difficult to bowl to Vaibhav. He jokingly said that he wished Vaibhav was still in high school so that he would not have to bowl against him. According to Cummins, the young batsman has extraordinary talent and he hits the ball with great power.

Cummins said, “He is a brilliant talent. He hits the ball very far and has very little margin for error. It is very challenging to bowl to him.” The Australian captain further said, “I wish he was in high school now, so that I wouldn’t have to bowl against him. It’s unbelievable. I have rarely seen a 15-year-old player bat like this. Whether he is 15 years old or 30 years old, he hits the ball brilliantly.”
