India has started the ICC Women’s World Cup 2026 with a spectacular win. Harmanpreet Kaur and team defeated Pakistan by 64 runs in the first match. Batting first, India had scored 170 runs, in reply Pakistan’s entire team was limited to 106 runs. However, Muniba Ali had given a good start to Pakistan, on the basis of which Pakistan made the highest score of T20 International in the powerplay against India today.
In the chase of 171, Muniba Ali and Gal Firozha made a partnership of 38 runs for the first wicket, this pair was broken by Deepti Sharma. He dismissed Firozha in the fifth over, after which Ayesha Zafar hit big shots as soon as she came and played an important role in the powerplay in taking the score beyond 50.
Highest score against India in powerplay
With the help of Muniba Ali’s brilliant innings, Pakistan had scored 52 runs after losing 1 wicket in the powerplay. This is Pakistan’s biggest score in the powerplay against India in T20 International.

Deepti Sharma’s claw, Pakistan restricted to 106
After a good powerplay, Pakistan’s batting collapsed, when Muniba Ali was on the score of 41, she had to return to the pavilion due to a brilliant throw by Deepti Sharma. Pakistan’s fourth wicket fell in his form in the 11th over, when the score was 75. Captain Fatima Sana was out on zero, then the sixth wicket in the form of Natalia Parvez fell at the score of 79. Pakistan lost its 3 important wickets within 4 runs.
Deepti Sharma ended Pakistan’s innings by taking 3 wickets in the 17th over and also took a five wicket haul. He gave only 10 runs in 4 overs and was declared player of the match.
