IPL 2026: ‘The way you handled yourself…’, Sachin Tendulkar wrote a special message for Arjun, got his first chance in the last match

Arjun Tendulkar was the most economical bowler of Lucknow Super Giants against Punjab Kings, who got to play his first match this season. Arjun, who came to LSG through trade from Mumbai Indians, remained on the bench from the beginning, the team continued to perform poorly but Arjun was not tried. The team gave him a chance in his last match in the league stage, in which he impressed with his bowling. After the match, his father and great cricketer Sachin Tendulkar wrote a message for him.

Sachin Tendulkar also praised Arjun’s patience more than his performance, how he maintained his composure, waited for his turn, worked hard and had faith in his abilities. Sachin wrote, “Well done, Arjun. I am very proud of the way you have handled yourself throughout this edition, always believed in your abilities, remained patient, worked hard, and remained positive despite waiting for your chance till the last match.”

How was Arjun Tendulkar’s performance?

Arjun was given the first over after the end of the powerplay, in which he trapped Prabhasimran with his bouncer ball and created a wicket opportunity. However, Rishabh Pant missed this easy catch, due to which Arjun kept getting wickets in the first over. He dismissed Prabhsimran Singh LBW in the 15th over on a brilliant yorker ball. He took 1 wicket for 36 runs in his 4 overs. Arjun’s economy of 9 was the lowest among all the 5 bowlers of Lucknow.

Mohammed Shami gave 45 runs in 4 overs with an economy of 11.25, Prince Yadav gave 32 runs in 3 overs with an economy of more than 10. Mohsin Khan spent 48 runs in 4 overs with an economy of 12. Digvesh Singh Rathi gave away runs with an economy of 13 in 3 overs.
