According to the license of the US Treasury Department, under this exemption, the sale of Iranian crude oil and petroleum products already loaded on ships has been allowed between March 20 and April 19.
Under this exemption, accepting cargo loaded after the deadline may put buyers at risk of secondary sanctions imposed by the US, due to which Indian refineries cannot accept these shipments. The report also said that although India has recently purchased some Iranian oil after concessions, these shipments were purchased only within the stipulated time frame.
The exemption period will not increase

On Monday, talks between Washington and Tehran were not successful, after which the US Navy began a blockade of Iranian ports.
