Kuwaiti Defense Ministry official spokesman Brigadier General Saud Abdulaziz al-Otaibi said that Kuwait International Airport’s Passenger Terminal-1 (T1) was targeted by several drone attacks on Wednesday. According to the statement, the attack was the result of alleged Iranian offensive action, which caused heavy damage to the terminal building and injured several people.

According to the Defense Ministry, emergency services and medical teams were activated immediately after the attack. Necessary medical aid was provided to the injured and their condition is being continuously monitored. Officials said that security agencies have cordoned off the affected area and started investigation to assess the damage and ascertain the circumstances of the attack.

After this incident, the security arrangements at Kuwait International Airport have been further tightened.
