Ireland Squad For IRE vs IND T20I Series 2026: Ireland Cricket Board has announced a 15-member squad for the 2-match T20 series against India on Monday (22 June). The Irish Board has handed over the responsibility to the new captain for the series. 3 uncapped players have been given place in the team. Apart from this, the board said that 6 players including Paul Sterling were not available for selection due to injury. The series will start from 26th June.

While announcing the squad, the board said that Lorcan Tucker has been made the new permanent T20 captain of Ireland. Lorcan is a player who plays all three formats for the team. He made his international debut in 2016. Before this, Tucker has commanded Ireland in 2 T20 International matches.

Three uncapped players got place

Three uncapped players have been included in the team, which include Matthew Hollard, Jai Mundra and Ruben Wilson. Matthew Hollard and Jai Mundhra have been included in the team for the first time, while Wilson made his Test debut against New Zealand last month. He is uncapped only for T20 International.

6 players not available for selection, injury increased tension

Six players were not available for selection due to injuries, including Josh Little (stress fracture), Paul Sterling (rectus muscle tear), Mark Adair (calf muscle tear), Curtis Campher (hand fracture), Barry McCarthy (complete torn ACL) and Jordan Neal (shoulder and leg injury).
