If you are also dreaming of getting admission in IIT through JEE Advanced 2026, then there is good news for you. Big relief has been given to the students by IIT Roorkee. IIT Roorkee has said that those students who have not yet completed the minimum marks in class 12th can also fill the institutes and courses of their choice (Choice Filling).
According to the information released by IIT Roorkee, it is necessary for students of General, OBC-NCL and EWS category to have minimum 75 percent marks in 12th. At the same time, this limit is set at 65 percent for SC, ST and Disabled (PwD) category candidates.
The institute has said that students who currently have less marks than the prescribed percentage can also participate in the counseling process. Such candidates can fill their preferred options based on their rank and will be included in the seat allotment process.

However, such students will have to submit their revised score card by July 15, 2026, indicating the minimum marks required as per their category. The final decision on their admission eligibility will be taken only after receiving the revised mark sheet.

Send score card by email
According to IIT Roorkee, candidates will have to send their revised score card through email. For this the institute has issued orgjee@iitr.ac.in email ID. Students who submit the revised results within the stipulated time limit will be given admission on the allotted seat by the end of Round 4.
This decision has brought relief to those students who are waiting for the revised marksheet due to correction, revaluation or other processes in their board exam result. With this, such candidates will not have to opt out of the counseling process and they will remain included in seat allotment on the basis of their JEE Advanced rank.
