A big and painful incident has come to light in Dhanbad district of Jharkhand. Where due to earth burst, a house was completely razed to the ground and three people got trapped in it. The incident took place in Tandabari colony of Sonardih police station area of Dhanbad, where on the evening of Tuesday, March 31, the ground burst with a loud noise and everyone including the house got razed to the ground.
Three people died in this incident, who were rescued after hours of hard work. There is an atmosphere of panic among the local people after the incident.
Angered by the incident, people blocked the road
Here people angry with the incident came out on the road and created a ruckus. People blocked Katras Bokaro road. People allege that illegal coal excavation is done here with the connivance of the local administration. Due to which the land here has become hollow.
Seeing the anger of the people, the administration and BCCL management team came into action. After which relief and rescue operations were started.
Rescue started late at night, bodies were taken out after four hours
BCCL’s rescue team reached the incident site at 9 pm. But darkness and huge cracks near the incident site were a big challenge for the rescue team. Finally, the relief work was started late in the night at around 11 pm and after about 4 hours of hard work, the rescue team pulled out the three dead people from the debris.
There was a scream as soon as the dead body was found.
As soon as the bodies were found at three in the morning, there was an outcry on the spot. Some people did not want to allow the dead body to be taken away. But after a lot of struggle, the police administration sent the bodies by ambulance to SNMMCH Hospital, Dhanbad.
Allegation of public representatives, illegal coal mining is the reason for the incident
Baghmara MLA Shatrughan Mahato and local chief also reached the spot. MLA Shatrughan Mahato said that due to illegal coal mining in the area, the entire land has become hollow due to which this incident occurred. He told that due to the situation at the spot, people are afraid. The local chief also blamed the police administration for this incident and said that the police is in collusion with the coal thieves in this area. Illegal coal excavation takes place continuously here. Due to which such a big incident happened today and three people along with the house got buried under the ground.
The relatives of the deceased told that everyone was sitting in the house between 5 to 6 pm. Then suddenly the ground burst and the three people along with the house got buried under the ground. After hearing the commotion, nearby people reached the spot and informed the administration along with public representatives about the matter. The deceased have been identified as Monu Oraon, Sarita Devi and Geeta Kumari.
