IPL 2026 is slowly moving towards the playoffs. Two teams have been eliminated from the season. Now the battle is going on between 8 teams to get a place in the top-4. Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore have made major changes in their respective squads. Kuldeep Yadav has joined Chennai in the middle of the season. Bengaluru has also made changes in the team. Richard Gleeson has joined the franchise.

Actually, Chennai and Bengaluru have announced the replacement of injured Khaleel Ahmed and Nuwan Thushara respectively. Information about these changes has been given in an IPL release. Both the players are out of the rest of the season.

Kuldeep Yadav associated with Chennai

Chennai has included fast bowler Kuldeep Yadav in place of Khalil. Kuldeep had earlier been a part of Rajasthan Royals. He made his IPL debut in 2021 while playing for Rajasthan. He has played 3 matches in the tournament so far, in which he has taken 2 wickets while bowling 3 innings. Chennai has added Kuldeep for a price of Rs 30 lakh.

Richard Gleeson joins RCB

England’s fast bowler Richard Gleeson has been included in the squad by Bengaluru in place of injured Nuwan Thushara. Richard has played 2 matches in IPL, 2 for Chennai and 1 for Mumbai Indians. He made his IPL debut in 2024. The English bowler has taken 2 wickets in 3 matches of the tournament. He is associated with Bengaluru for a price of Rs 1.6 crore.

Gleeson also plays T20 International cricket for England. He has played 6 matches of the format, bowling in 6 innings and taking 9 wickets in his account, in which the best was 3/15. Economy was 8.90. Now it will be interesting to see how he performs if he gets a chance to play for RCB.
