Will gas cylinder prices increase?
There is currently no change in the prices of domestic gas cylinders, but due to the fluctuations in the prices of crude oil in the international market and the West Asia crisis, government oil marketing companies like IOCL, BPCL, HPCL review the prices of LPG on the 1st of every month. If the prices of crude oil and gas continue to rise in the international market or the supply is disrupted, then the pressure on oil companies will increase, due to which domestic cylinder prices may also be affected in the coming months like June 2026.

Why is LPG used for cooking?
The biggest reason for LPG being used so much is that it can be easily converted into liquid form at low pressure. With this, a large amount of gas can be stored inside a compact steel cylinder. It does not produce soot when burnt, hence the utensils can be easily cleaned and it does not require a very strong container to store it.
