The salary of NSG commandos depends on their rank, experience and parent force. Generally, the monthly salary of NSG commando can range from Rs 80 thousand to Rs 3 lakh. Also, during training, they get a stipend ranging from Rs 18 thousand to Rs 40 thousand. After completion of training, along with basic salary, they also get various types of allowances, like Special Force Allowance, in which they get Rs 25 thousand to Rs 30 thousand. Besides this, Risk and Hardship Allowance is also available, which ranges from Rs 25,000 to Rs 40,000. Apart from this, deputation allowance is also included, in which around Rs 5 to 10 thousand is available. Apart from salary, they also get free medical facilities, government accommodation and canteen facilities.

Apart from this, the salary of commandos in this force keeps increasing according to the rank, that is, the higher the rank, the higher the salary. There is promotion from the initial rank like constable or constable to head constable, assistant sub-inspector, sub-inspector and inspector. After this come bigger ranks like Assistant Commandant, Deputy Commandant and Commandant. If we talk about the highest rank, then posts like Director General are considered to be the biggest, whose salary is around Rs 2 lakh to Rs 3 lakh or even more.

How much pension do NSG commandos get after retirement?

Talking about after retirement, NSG commandos get pension and other benefits as per government rules. Since NSG commandos are actually employees of their parent force i.e. Army or CAPF, their pension is also decided as per the rules of that force. When an NSG commando retires, he gets the benefit of gratuity, provident fund money and lifelong pension. Let us tell you that not every officer gets the same pension. The pension amount depends on their last salary, rank and how many years they have worked. Apart from this, they also get medical facilities and other retirement benefits.
