The exam date of NEET-PG 2026 has been announced by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). Now this examination will be held on 30 August 2026 at various examination centers across the country. Candidates were waiting for the exam date for a long time. The examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
The online application process for NEET-PG 2026 is going to start from July 1, 2026. Interested candidates will be able to apply till 21st July 2026 at 11:55 pm. There is a possibility of more traffic on the website at the last moment, hence candidates have been advised to apply well in time.
Information about exam city will be available on August 11.
After application, candidates will be informed on August 11, 2026 in which city their examination center will be. This will give candidates enough time to plan their travel and stay.
When will the result come?
According to the released schedule of NBEMS, the result of NEET-PG 2026 will be declared on 30 September 2026. Candidates successful in the examination will then get a chance to participate in the counseling process.

What is NEET PG?
If you want to do MD, MS or PG diploma after MBBS, then first of all you will have to pass NEET PG exam. This is the only common entrance exam for admission to these medical postgraduate courses across the country. That means there is no need to give separate examinations for admission in different states or private medical colleges.

Only those candidates who have obtained MBBS degree from a recognized institute or have obtained provisional MBBS pass certificate can appear in NEET PG. Along with this, the candidate must have permanent or temporary registration issued from NMC, former Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council.
There will be no separate examination
After the implementation of NEET PG, no state government, private medical college or university can conduct a separate entrance examination for admission to its MD, MS or PG diploma courses.
How to register for NEET PG 2026
step 1: Candidates first go to the official website of NBEMS.
Step 2: Then click on “NEET PG 2026” or “Application Link” on the homepage.
Step 3: After this, click on “New Registration” and fill your name, mobile number, email ID and other necessary information.
Step 4: Now after completion of registration, login with the User ID and Password received.
Step 5: After this fill the details asked in the application form.
Step 6: Then deposit the fees.
Step 7: After checking all the information carefully, click on the submit button.
