NEET UG Result 2026: NTA has released the result of NEET UG 2026 re-exam. This time around 20 lakh candidates have appeared for the examination, out of which 11.21 lakh candidates have qualified for admission in MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other medical courses. The biggest feature of this result was that the share of women among the successful candidates was more than 58 percent. Not only this, the qualification rate of female candidates appearing in the examination was also better than that of males, however, if we talk about the top rank, the dominance of boys was seen at the starting position.
Women perform better than men
According to NTA data, 56.8 percent of women candidates who appeared in the examination achieved success, while the qualification rate of male candidates was 55.1 percent, which means that this time also women registered better success in the medical entrance examination. Apart from this, the share of women among the total successful candidates was more than 58 percent.
Top scorer 715 points, both became topper boys
This year, Aryan Gupta of Punjab and Panshul Bansal of Haryana jointly stood first by scoring 715 marks out of 720. A total of 19 candidates were successful in scoring more than 700 marks in the examination, while 138 students scored more than 690 marks. Among these top scorers, more than 93 percent of the candidates were appearing for the NEET exam for the first time, while 99 percent were between 17 and 19 years of age. This is the reason that despite the overall success rate of women being higher, the dominance of male candidates was seen at the highest ranks.

Most successful candidates in Uttar Pradesh
Talking about the performance of the states, the maximum number of more than 1.7 lakh candidates qualified the exam from Uttar Pradesh. Whereas 43 candidates from Lakshadweep were successful. The top 17 candidates who scored more than 705 marks were from Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. Let us tell you that Re-NEET exam was held on 21st June. The examination was held at 5,440 examination centers set up in 551 cities of the country and 14 cities of foreign countries.
