The incident occurred due to accidental fire
After this incident which took place outside Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple gate, senior officers of Varanasi Police Commissionerate reached the spot. Joint Commissioner Shivhari Meena said that the rifle of a PAC jawan deployed for the security of the people fell and accidentally fired. This bullet hit the road, due to which the gravel and stones lying on the road bounced and two flower garland sellers and a passerby were injured. The injured have been taken to the divisional hospital for treatment. CCTV footage of this incident is also going viral. The names of the injured in this incident are being told as Nikki, Rambabu and Vikas.
