Amidst the continuous bad news coming out, a good news has also emerged for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Pat Cummins can join the SRH team today i.e. on 17th April. Cummins has been continuously struggling with a back injury and had returned to Australia for final examination. The team’s regular captain Cummins can join the team today.
Sunrisers Hyderabad team is in trouble in the fast bowling department. Brayden Carse and David Penn are out of the entire tournament due to injury. Whereas Jaydev Unadkat and Harshal Patel have not been very effective. Although Praful Hinge and Saqib Hussain performed brilliantly in their respective IPL debuts, the lack of experience in the pace attack of the Hyderabad team is clearly visible.
When will the first match be played?
If Pat Cummins joins the Sunrisers Hyderabad team, will he play the first match as soon as he arrives? SRH’s next match is going to be with Chennai Super Kings on April 18, but Cummins may not be able to play in it.
He had recently told through a social media post that his aim is to take the field against Rajasthan Royals on 25th April. This means Hyderabad may have to play 2 more matches without Cummins. How is the condition of SRH?
Sunrisers Hyderabad may be fourth in the points table of IPL 2026, but the discontinuity in the team’s performance is clearly visible. Hyderabad has 4 points after only 2 wins in 5 matches. In their last match, SRH management took a big risk and made the IPL debut of Praful Hinge and Saqib Hussain.
