Political uproar has started in Assam before the assembly elections. Congress leader Pawan Kheda had alleged that Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma’s wife has three passports, after which Assam Police has started action. Assam Police reached Pawan Kheda’s house in Delhi. However, Congress spokesperson was not found there, after which she took some belongings with her. Assam Police warned that they will find them from anywhere.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, ‘He fled from Guwahati yesterday. I have come to know through the media that the police had gone to his Delhi residence, but he has fled to Hyderabad. The law will take its course.
Congress furious over raid on Pawan Kheda’s house
Congress’s reaction has come to light regarding Assam Police’s raid on Pawan Kheda’s house. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said that deploying an entire army of police officers to arrest my colleague Pawan Kheda for asking basic questions in public interest proves that the Chief Minister of Assam is troubled, frustrated and scared.

He said that this is not a due process but a kind of vindictive action, by a bully who is using the state machinery to suppress the voice of the opposition, exposing his many dark deeds. People who bully are actually scared and have a lot to hide. This is also proof that the Chief Minister is facing imminent defeat.
Pawan Kheda had made these allegations
Congress spokesperson Pawan Kheda had asked in a press conference on April 5 how Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s wife has three different passports? Why does he need to hold three passports? Are they any criminals? Does Himanta Biswa Sarma have more than one passport? Is he preparing to run away after losing the Assam elections?
He said, ‘Himanta Biswa Sarma’s entire politics is based on hatred against Muslims, but his wife holds passports of two Muslim countries, how? According to Indian law, you cannot hold dual citizenship, so does Rinki Bhuyan Sarma also hold an Indian passport? Was the country’s Home Minister Amit Shah aware that his adopted son’s wife holds three passports? Home Minister Amit Shah should answer – will he set up a SIT and get this matter investigated?
