Petrol-Diesel Price on April 15: Petrol and diesel prices in the country remain stable today, April 15, 2026, a few days after the government drastically increased the export duty on diesel and Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) or jet fuel. How much was the export duty increased?
Let us tell you that the export duty on diesel and aviation turbine fuel (ATF) has been increased significantly in the country, which has now become Rs 55.5 and Rs 42 per liter respectively. This increase is applicable with immediate effect. The purpose of this step is to control the rising prices of fuel, which is affecting the air fares.
And also to provide security to airlines and passengers amid fluctuations in global oil prices. Export of petrol will remain duty-free. Despite the turmoil in global energy markets, the government has indicated that retail prices of petrol and diesel will remain stable in the near future, which will provide relief to consumers and help control inflationary pressures.
