Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh has issued a statement regarding the Vande Bharat Express train running between Maa Vaishno Devi Katra. He has given information on social media about an important decision regarding Vaishno Devi Yatra.
While posting on X, he said that Vande Bharat Express, currently running between Srinagar and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, will be extended to Jammu Tawi from April 30. Apart from this, the train will now run with 20 coaches instead of 8. This will significantly increase capacity, connectivity and comfort.

Vande Bharat Express running from Srinagar to Shrimata Vaishnodevi Katra is being extended to Jammu Tawi from April 30. Now it will run in 20 coaches instead of 8 coaches. This will strengthen tourism development and connectivity in the area.
Security arrangements investigated in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab
Here, in Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, blackout mock drill was organized in all the districts to check the security arrangements. This mock drill was conducted from 8:00 pm to 8:15 pm on Friday night at Pitex Ground, Ranjit Avenue in Amritsar and areas under Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) and Agar Nagar PSPCL division in Ludhiana. At around 7:55 pm, a siren sounded and a public announcement was made to alert people from religious places. As soon as the siren sounded, the electricity department immediately cut off the supply.
