The attacker who carried out the suicide attack on the Jafar Express train in Quetta, the capital of Pakistan’s Balochistan province on Sunday morning (May 24, 2026) has been revealed. Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has issued a statement regarding this attack, in which the organization released the picture of suicide bomber Bilal Shahwani alias Sain and informed that the suicide attack was carried out by Bilal Shahwani alias Sain.
According to BLA, Bilal Shahwani, who was a resident of Killi Sarad in Sariab area of Quetta, had joined the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) in the year 2020 and was later inducted into the suicide unit of Majeed Brigade.
Pakistani Army suffered huge losses in the attack: BLA
The statement of Baloch organization said that the attack was carried out in Chaman Fatak area of Quetta when Pakistani Army soldiers were being taken from Quetta Cantt to Jafar Express through a shuttle train. The organization claimed that the Pakistani Army suffered heavy losses in this attack.

Bilal has led many big operations: BLA
BLA said that Bilal Shahwani was commanding major attacks and guerrilla operations against the Pakistani army in Dasht Kombela area for the last six months. The BLA also claimed that it had led several operations on the Quetta and Kalat front during Operation Hereof-1 and Operation Hereof-2.
BLA called Bilal a martyred fidayeen commander
Referring to its intelligence wing ‘ZIRAB’, BLA claimed that this attack was possible due to accurate information about the movement of the army from Quetta Cantt and the statement said that this attack shows the intelligence penetration and military capability of the organization. In its statement, BLA paid tribute to Bilal Shahwani by calling him a martyred fidayeen commander and said that his struggle will continue till the complete independence of Balochistan.
