For the last several days, people are forced to drink dirty sewerage water. Due to lack of solution despite continuous complaints, people’s anger is at its peak. The women of the area surrounded the local MLA Gopal Sharma on the issue of dirty water supply and expressed strong protest. Not only this, the BJP MLA was given dirty and smelly water to drink, which he refused to drink.
After this there was a huge uproar. The video of distressed women giving stinky water to BJP MLA to drink and the MLA refusing it is going viral on social media.
This incident took place in Sushilpura Ward 45 area located in Civil Lines Assembly constituency of Jaipur. Civil Lines assembly constituency is the area where the Governor, Chief Minister, most of the ministers and almost all the big bureaucrats live. It is being told that dirty and smelly water has been coming from the taps in the area for many days, due to which people are facing a lot of trouble. Angry women lodged a protest with the MLA regarding this problem. The women gave them the same dirty water to drink, so that they could understand the seriousness of the situation.
MLA refuses to drink dirty water
The MLA took the glass, smelled the water, but refused it, after which the anger of the women increased further. During this time there was a commotion like situation and people expressed their displeasure against the administration. Local people say that despite repeated complaints, the water supply system is not improving. The risk of diseases has also increased due to dirty water, due to which there is increasing concern about the health of children and the elderly especially.

After the video surfaced, questions have also started being raised on the functioning of the water supply department and the local administration. People have demanded from the administration that the provision of clean drinking water should be ensured as soon as possible, so that they can get relief from this problem.
When the MLA was questioned on the viral video, he said that dirty water is coming into the supply due to the mixing of sewer and water pipelines during road construction. However, while on one hand this viral video has exposed the working methodology of MLA Gopal Sharma, on the other hand it has also raised question marks on the functioning of his government.
