Before the NEET UG 2026 re-exam to be held on June 21, mock drills will be organized on a large scale across the country to ensure the security and smooth conduct of the examination. According to reports, this exercise will be conducted on Saturday, in which security arrangements, preparedness of examination centers and monitoring system will be tested.
According to the information, the mock drill will start at 9 am and will continue till late evening. During this time, coordination between the examination centers and related agencies across the country will also be reviewed so that there is no possibility of any kind of disturbance or security lapse on the day of the examination.
Let us tell you that before the NEET-UG re-test examination to be held on June 21, a mock drill will be organized across the country on Saturday. Its purpose is to check the preparations and security arrangements of the examination. This mock drill will start at 9 am and will continue till late evening. More than 2.5 lakh security personnel will participate in it.
The examination will be held amidst tight security
All the examination centers have already been handed over to the National Testing Agency (NTA). Three-tier security arrangements will be in place at the centers on the day of the examination. According to officials, the responsibility of security of question papers and answer sheets will be with the paramilitary forces. More than 5,000 examination centers across the country will be monitored by CCTV cameras and security personnel.

Monitoring will be done on CCTV
Live feed of all CCTV cameras will be available to NTA. Apart from this, a special monitoring center has also been created to keep an eye on social media, which will keep an eye on any suspicious activity. In view of the examination, all investigation and security agencies have been put on alert. Along with the district administration, state and central government officials will also monitor the arrangements at the examination centres.
22 lakh students will be included
Around 22 lakh students have registered for the NEET-UG re-test to be held on June 21. Out of these, about 18 lakh students have downloaded their admit cards. This mock drill is being organized to review the security arrangements, coordination between agencies and preparations before the examination.
Entry will be available even if biometric verification is not done
NTA has clarified that if the biometric verification of a candidate is not done due to technical fault, weak fingerprint, UIDAI connectivity problem or any physical reason, then he/she will not be stopped from the examination.
