There is a relief news for lakhs of medical candidates waiting for the result of Re-NEET UG 2026. National Testing Agency (NTA) has indicated that the result of Re-NEET UG will be released by July 20. Although the agency has not yet announced any fixed date, but officials say that the work of preparing the result is going on at a fast pace and efforts are being made to release it as soon as possible. It has also been made clear that the new academic session of MBBS will start on time only.
Let us tell you that this year the original exam of NEET UG was held on May 3, but it was canceled after allegations of paper leak. After this, the examination was conducted again on June 21. Now the eyes of all the candidates are fixed on the result.
Evaluation of answer sheets is going on at a fast pace
According to NTA officials, work is being done on war footing to release the results on time. The agency is not only examining the copies, but about 10 thousand objections sent by the students on the provisional answer key are also being reviewed one by one.
The documents and evidence given with each objection are being compared. If found correct, the answer will be changed and only then the final answer key will be released. The result will be prepared on this basis.

Counseling will start after the result
The counseling process for admission to MBBS, BDS and other medical courses will start immediately after the release of the result. Counseling for All India Quota (AIQ) will be conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), while counseling for state quota will be conducted by the respective state governments.
During counselling, candidates will have to register online and select the medical college and course of their choice. The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of candidate’s NEET rank, category, reservation rules and available seats. After this, students will have to report to the concerned college within the stipulated time.
How will the result be checked?
After the release of the result, candidates will be able to download their scorecard by visiting the official NEET website. Along with the scorecard, information related to All India Rank, cutoff and counseling will also be released.
