A golden opportunity has come to the fore to become a technician in Railways. Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has issued short notification for recruitment to 6,565 technician posts. Who can apply?
For these posts, the candidate must have passed 10th from a recognized board. Along with this, one should have ITI certificate recognized by NCVT or SCVT in the related trade. Candidates who have Act Apprenticeship Certificate are also eligible to apply. Whereas for Technician Grade-I (Signal), degree or diploma in the relevant engineering branch will also be required for some posts.
What is the age limit?
For the post of Technician Grade-I (Signal), the age of the candidate should be between 18 to 33 years. Whereas for Technician Grade-III, the minimum age has been fixed at 18 years and maximum 30 years. Reserved category candidates will get age relaxation as per government rules.
Recruitment will be done in three phases
The recruitment process will be completed in three phases. First of all Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted. Candidates who are successful in this will be called for document verification. Medical examination will take place in the final stage. Candidates who successfully complete all the stages will be appointed.

How much salary will you get?
Candidates selected for the post of Technician Grade-I (Signal) will get a basic salary of Rs 29,200 per month under Pay Level-5 of the 7th Pay Commission. Whereas the candidates selected on the post of Technician Grade-III will get the initial basic salary of Rs 19,900 per month as per Pay Level-2. Apart from the basic salary, the employees will also get Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), pension, railway travel facility and medical facilities.
