Punjab government has announced recruitment for lecturer posts. Online applications for this recruitment will start from July 1, 2026, while candidates will be able to apply till July 31, 2026. If you have a Master’s degree and B.Ed in a related subject, then this can be a good opportunity to get a government job.
A total of 1013 posts will be filled under this recruitment drive. Of these, there are 829 new posts, while 184 posts will be filled under backlog. Maximum recruitment will be in History (210 posts). Apart from this, recruitment will be done on 141 posts of English, 131 of Political Science, 105 of Maths, 99 of Punjabi, 98 of Commerce, 58 of Physics, 50 of Economics, 41 of Chemistry, 37 of Biology, 29 of Hindi and 14 of Geography.
Who can apply?
To apply for this recruitment, the candidate must have a master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 55 percent marks. Apart from this, B.Ed. degree from a recognized institute is also necessary. The candidate must be a citizen of India and must have studied Punjabi language as a compulsory or optional subject in class 10th.
What should be the age?
To apply, the minimum age of the candidate has been fixed at 18 years and maximum 37 years. However, SC, ST, Divyang and other reserved category candidates will get age relaxation as per the rules of Punjab Government.

How will the selection be done?
The recruitment process will be completed in two phases. In the first phase, a written examination of 300 marks will be conducted. The good thing is that there will be no negative marking in this exam. Candidates who are successful in the written examination will be called for document verification in the second phase. After this, appointment will be given on the basis of final merit list.
How much salary will you get?
Selected candidates will get a fixed salary of Rs 34,500 to Rs 35,400 every month during the initial three-year probation period. During this period, allowances like DA and HRA will not be given. After completion of probation, you will get the benefit of other government allowances along with the regular pay scale.

After new registration, login and fill your educational and personal information. After this upload photo, signature and necessary documents. Pay the application fee through online mode.
