Subhendu government of West Bengal has approved five important decisions in its second cabinet meeting. These include three thousand rupees per month to women, free travel in buses and formation of the 7th State Pay Commission.

After the cabinet meeting, Women and Child Welfare Minister of Bengal Government, Agnimitra Paul told about the decisions of the government in the press briefing. He said that the Bengal government has approved the Annapurna Scheme, in which a monthly assistance of Rs 3,000 will be provided in the accounts of women from June 1. Along with this, it has been decided to provide free travel for women in government buses from June 1.

Which women will get the benefit of Annapurna Yojana?

Women availing the benefits of Lakshmi Bhandar Yojana will now themselves get the benefits of Annapurna Bhandar Yojana. Minister Agnimitra said that for those who have not received this benefit till now, a portal will soon be opened where the application process can be completed.

Approval for formation of 7th Pay Commission in Bengal

Agnimitra Paul said that the government has approved the formation of the Seventh State Pay Commission for its employees, affiliated statutory bodies and educational institutions. Government employees of the state will benefit from this. Apart from this, it has been decided to stop government assistance given to groups on the basis of religious classification.

These decisions were approved in the first cabinet

The Bengal Cabinet had also taken many important decisions in its first meeting. In that meeting, the first decision was taken to implement Ayushman Bharat. Along with this, it was decided to allow IPS and IAS officers to participate in central training, implement the Indian Judicial Code in Bengal, transfer the land to the Border Security Force i.e. BSF within 45 days and take the responsibility of the families of the 321 BJP workers who lost their lives in Bengal.
