The first reaction of Minister Agnimitra Paul in the Subhendu government of West Bengal has come regarding the attack on Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Abhishek Banerjee. He said that whatever happened to Abhishek Banerjee is wrong. We have repeatedly told people not to take the law into their own hands. Agnimitra further said that Abhishek Banerjee himself is responsible for what happened.
Police brutality continued for 15 years- Agnimitra Paul
Agnimitra Paul fiercely targeted the previous TMC government. He said that on one side there was police brutality for 15 years, while on the other side there was dominance of Jahangir Sheikh Shahjahan. Apart from all this, Abhishek Banerjee has so much arrogance. He (Abhishek Banerjee) had said that DJ will be played after the 4th. He abused even the Prime Minister, Home Minister and President.

‘For 15 years you considered yourself God’
The Bengal minister further said, ‘Today this is the anger of the public because for 15 years you kept considering yourself as God. What kind of politics did you play? Today eggs and shoes are being thrown at you. People are spitting and abusing in front of your house. One party will remain in power and not the other, this happens in politics. He further said that we will not do such politics where people garland us with shoes, abuse us and spit in front of our house.

‘No one is more powerful than the people’
Taking aim at TMC, Agnimitra Paul said that you yourself are responsible for this situation because you thought that you can never be removed and the public has shown this. You had said that BJP was involved in this, but BJP had no hand in this, because we heard that Trinamool has majority in 35 out of 36 wards in that area.
