‘Simply put, Hormuz will remain open, they will shoot at ships, then we will…’, JD Vance’s warning to Iran amid deadly attacks

US Iran Conflict: Amidst the increasing military tension between Iran and America, US Vice President JD Vance has given a strong warning to Iran. He clearly said that if Iran attacks commercial ships again, America will respond with more force than before. Vance also reiterated that the Strait of Hormuz will not be allowed to be closed under any circumstances and that if Iran tried to do so, the US military would retaliate immediately. His statement has come at a time when the US Army has confirmed new military attacks on Iran and tension in the region is continuously increasing.

Strict warning given during program in Milwaukee

US Vice President JD Vance clarified America’s stance regarding Iran during an event organized in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Wednesday. He said that the basic understanding between America and Iran was that if Iran stopped attacking ships then America would ease its blockade. But if the ships are attacked, America will respond more strongly than before.

‘If ships are fired upon, the response will be even more powerful’

He said, “If they fire on the ships, we will respond and we will respond with more force than before. That was the agreement. They said they would stop attacking the ships, but about 24 hours ago they targeted the ships again.” He further said that Iran showed restraint for about a week, but after that it again started attacking ships.

Trump has many options

Vance said that he would not tell what further steps America would take, because it would be the President’s decision. However, he reiterated that President Trump has already made it clear that this important sea route for international energy supply will remain open under any circumstances. He said that normal supply of oil and gas is also having a positive impact on fuel prices and that is why America is giving top priority to the safety of this route.

Trump has also given a big statement

During the NATO summit in the Turkish capital Ankara, President Donald Trump also said that the ceasefire has not been effective after the attacks on ships by Iran and the US is ready for further military action. Meanwhile, Iranian government media has reported explosions in the southern coastal areas including Bandar Abbas and Sirik connected to Hormuz.
