According to the report, Shreyas Iyer will return to the team and can be made the captain. 31-year-old Iyer played his last T20 International match on December 3, 2023. That means it has been more than 2 years, he has not played a T20 International match. Now looking at the future, the selectors can choose Iyer as the new captain.

Suryakumar will remain in the team as a player
