PSL 2026 prize money

The team that won the title of Pakistan T20 League has been given a prize money of 5 lakh US dollars (about 4.70 crore Indian rupees). Whereas the runner up team that lost in the final has been given 3 lakh US dollars (about Rs 2.80 crore).

5 times difference from IPL prize money

In the last season of IPL i.e. 2025, Royal Challengers Bangalore won the title. RCB was given prize money of Rs 20 crore to win the title. If this prize money is compared with the prize money of the current season of PSL, which is Rs 4.70 crore, then there is a difference of almost 5 times between the two.

Peshawar Zalmi’s performance in the season

A very good performance was seen from Peshawar Zalmi in the season. Babar’s team won 8 out of 10 league matches of the season. The team had to face defeat in only 1 match. The remaining one match remained inconclusive due to rain. After the league stage, Peshawar won against Islamabad United by 70 runs.

Then finally in the final, Peshawar won against Hyderabad by 5 wickets. Hyderabad Kingsmen, who came to bat first in the match, were all out for 129 runs in 18 overs. Bangladesh has given a big blow to Pakistan. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has suddenly canceled the NOC of fast bowlers Mustafizur Rahman and Nahid Rana. This means that both Mustafizur and Nahid will not be able to play in the remaining matches of PSL 2026. BCB has canceled the no objection certificate of both the players citing medical reasons.

In the third and decisive ODI match, he made a comeback and took 5 wickets.

BCB reversed course

Bangladesh Cricket Board has hit back, as it has clearly said that it will not release Mustafizur Rahman for the remaining matches of PSL 2026. Let us tell you that Mustafizur was playing for Lahore Qalandars in PSL 2026.

Pakistan is very upset, which has banned Dasun Shanaka for one year after Blessing Muzarabani. This matter is related to PSL 2026, in which Sri Lankan cricketer Dasun Shanaka was to play for Lahore Qalandars, but he had joined IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals even before the start of the season.

The official statement issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that Shanaka has violated the terms of player registration and the tripartite agreement. The board said that withdrawal of name by Shanaka does not come under the acceptable conditions written in the agreement. Therefore he is being banned from participating in PSL for one year.

Before the start of IPL 2026 season, Rajasthan Royals star all-rounder Sam Curran got injured. As his replacement, Rajasthan team included Dasun Shanaka in its team. The statement said that this action was necessary to maintain the integrity and exclusivity of the Pakistan Super League.

The agency of Zimbabwean fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani, who left Pakistan Super League and came to play in IPL, has targeted the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Actually PCB has banned Muzarabani from playing in PSL for 2 years. Muzarabani’s agency retaliated by asking why a ban was imposed on breaking a contract which Muzarabani never received.

Blessing Muzarabani did not find any buyer in the PSL auction. Later, Islamabad United team signed him as a replacement player and he was to get 1.1 crore Pakistani rupees for this deal. A few days later, Muzarabani withdrew from Pakistan Super League and joined IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders. He got a place in KKR as a replacement for Mustafizur Rahman.

In response, Pakistan Cricket Board banned Muzarabani from playing in PSL for 2 years. But Muzarabani’s sports agency ‘Sports Xchange’ has slammed the PCB and said that the Islamabad United franchise had only made a social media announcement. Muzarabani never got an official contract.

The agency also made it clear that Islamabad United had made Muzarabani an offer to play, but for this Muzarabani needed NOC from the Zimbabwe Cricket Board, which he could not get. Ali was in Kolkata Knight Riders last year, but he got a chance to play in only 6 matches and batted only 2 times. Earlier he played for Royal Challengers Bangalore from 2018 to 2020 and Chennai Super Kings from 2021 to 2024. He played a total of 73 matches for 3 teams in IPL, scoring 1167 runs in 59 innings and taking 41 wickets.

Traffic and Highway Patrol officers approached the vehicle and conducted a roadside test on the driver (a 39-year-old man), the result of which was positive,” the police statement said. There will be a hearing in the court in this case next month.
