BCCI on Saturday announced Team India for the T20 series against Ireland and England. The Indian team will play a two-match T20 series in Ireland and a five-match T20 series in England. Team India has been announced for both these series. There were many players who deserved a place in the team, but they did not get a chance. This list includes India’s Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill and captain Rajat Patidar, who won the IPL twice in a row.
1- Silver Patidar
IPL 2025 and IPL 2026 champion captain Rajat Patidar is an explosive middle order batsman. Patidar scored more than 500 runs in this season of IPL. He is adept at scoring fast runs. It was expected that Rajat Patidar would definitely be selected for the T20 series against Ireland, but he has not been included in the 16-member team.
2- Rinku Singh
Rinku Singh may not have performed as expected for KKR in IPL 2026, but he was a part of the 2026 T20 World Cup-winning Indian team. Rinku has been a part of India’s T20 team for a long time, but now he has not been selected for the T20 series against Ireland and England. Along with this, he has also not been selected for the Asian Games. He has been dropped from the T20 team.
3- Shubhman Gill
India’s Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill scored more than 700 runs in IPL 2026. With 732 runs, Gill was the second highest run scorer this season. It was being said that now Gill will return to the T20 team, but he has not got a place in the Indian T20 team.

4- Bhuvneshwar Kumar

5- Suryakumar Yadav
