Iran and Oman want to use the Strait of Hormuz for free trade and safe movement.
He further said, ‘What happened was the misuse of this strait for military aggression against Iran. The Deputy Foreign Minister’s visit to Oman is for consultations on setting up a system for safe transit through the Strait of Hormuz. Every responsible country welcomes the establishment of this mechanism.

Baghei said, ‘We are in touch with the countries located around the strait to protect their security and interests.’ Regarding the possible agreement, he said that there are ‘no guarantees’ on America’s commitments and Iran is not concerned about any ‘threat’.
