Pete Hegseth said, ‘At this time the American army is fully prepared. If there is no deal with Iran, we will start fighting again. Iran says that it controls the Strait of Hormuz. They threaten ships passing through this route. This is not control, this is piracy. American intelligence agencies are keeping an eye on every action of Iran.
China appealed to open Hormuz
China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi has asked Iran to ensure safe and unhindered movement through the Strait of Hormuz. This is the first such appeal to Beijing amid increasing pressure on this important sea route during Tehran’s war with America. Wang Yi sought guarantees of freedom and security of international navigation during a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi on Wednesday.
There will be talks again between Iran and America
A Pakistani mediation delegation led by Field Marshal Asim Munir reached Tehran on Wednesday, where they discussed new peace proposals for the second round of US-Iran talks in Islamabad. China, Iran’s close ally and the largest importer of its oil, is also worried about the increasing energy crisis due to the US blockade. Due to the American blockade, the movement of ships carrying oil and gas from Iran’s ports is being affected.
