West Asia Tensions: Diplomatic efforts have suffered a major setback amid the ongoing war in the Middle East. Iran has rejected the ceasefire proposal sent through Pakistan, making it clear that at present there is little possibility of stopping the war. According to reports, this proposal came from the United States and tried to end the conflict through a 15-point plan, but Tehran rejected it, calling it “impractical and immoral.”

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei said that the experience of negotiations with America has not been good, so it is difficult to trust such proposals. He also made it clear that Iran is not against ending the war, but it does not agree with a temporary ceasefire, because this could prolong the conflict further.
Meanwhile, according to Islamic Republic News Agency, Iran itself has put forward a new 10-point proposal, which includes conditions like opening the Strait of Hormuz and removing the restrictions imposed on it. Iran says it will not back down from its “legitimate demands” and these should not be seen as weakness.

On the other hand, US President Donald Trump described Iranian fighters as “courageous” and said that there is a possibility of talks, but their main objective is to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. That is, while on one hand diplomatic efforts are going on, on the other hand, due to the strict conditions of both the sides, the solution still seems far away and the possibility of the conflict getting longer has increased.

Donald Trump has given a big statement by adopting a tough stance regarding the Iran war. He said that “Tuesday is the last deadline”, which indicates that America has now reached a decisive point in this conflict. Trump said in his statement that when the enemy is weak then it is not cared for much, but in this case the enemy is strong, so the situation is different. However, he also added that it is no longer as strong as before, clearly pointing towards Iran.
