West Bengal Politics: In the politics of West Bengal, discussions are going on regarding Baharampur Lok Sabha seat. Meanwhile, such reports emerged that Trinamool Congress (TMC) had sent a message to MP Yusuf Pathan through former cricketer Sourav Ganguly that he should resign from Baharampur Lok Sabha seat, so that the way could be made to send Mamata Banerjee to Parliament in future. However, Sourav Ganguly has completely rejected these reports.
Sourav Ganguly denied
Sourav Ganguly termed these allegations as false and misleading and said that he never had any kind of conversation with Yusuf Pathan nor did he forward any political message. He said that Mamata Banerjee did not ask him to give any such message nor was he involved in any political matter.
Questions raised on media reports
Ganguly said that publishing such news without verification is completely wrong. He appealed to the media to thoroughly investigate the facts before publishing any information. He also expressed displeasure that the allegations made in the published report were put forward without investigating their veracity.
Ganguly’s clarification on alleged allegations
Ganguly clarified in his statement that all the allegations made against him are completely false. He said that neither Mamata Banerjee asked him to give any message nor did he have any kind of conversation with Yusuf Pathan. He also clarified that there is no question of any kind of reaction or communication with Yusuf Pathan in this entire matter.
