Pentagon Report Iran: Amidst the ongoing war between Iran and America, a confidential report of the US Defense Ministry ‘Pentagon’ has created a stir. While on one hand President Donald Trump was claiming that Iran’s military power has been destroyed, on the other hand, the Pentagon’s intelligence branch has said in its latest assessment that Iran’s firepower and main military strength is still completely safe.
Questions on Trump and Hegseth’s claims
According to a report by NBC News, Pentagon intelligence has indicated that Iran has maintained its “key military capabilities”. This report is in complete contrast to the statements of President Donald Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, in which it was claimed that irreparable damage has been caused to Iran’s military. Earlier, American officials had said that Iran’s air force has been completely destroyed and its navy has been destroyed. But the Pentagon report says that despite recent military operations, Iran’s armed forces still remain a major force in the region.
Trump’s ceasefire and Pakistan’s ‘connection’
Meanwhile, President Trump has announced to stop military attacks against Iran and extend the ceasefire. Referring to Pakistan’s role behind this, Trump said, “At the request of Pakistan’s leadership, we have decided to postpone the proposed American attacks. However, the siege of Iranian ports will continue until Tehran presents a common proposal for talks.”
“This is a conspiracy to attack”
Iran has completely rejected this peace proposal of America. An adviser to the speaker of Iran’s parliament described the extension of the ceasefire as “meaningless”. He warned that this could only be a tactic to kill time so that America could prepare for a sudden major attack in the future. The Iranian leadership has rejected this ceasefire and called for intensified military action. He believes that America is only changing its strategy in the name of diplomacy, whereas in ground reality it is carrying out an economic blockade of Iran.
